    Question Microcoils

Has anyone else tried this yet? I built one out of curiosity today and had some pretty good results. I used dual 32awg wire and wrapped it free hand on some folded 2mm silica. It metered out at 1.0 ohm and I setup my Kayfuns at 0.6 ohm. I'm still getting a lot of flavor and vapor. On top of that I'm not running my batteries as hard. The vape is cooler than using 28awg.

Very interesting, sorry to ask this but when you mentioned dual 32awg, were they twisted?

No, they aren't twisted, just coiled two wires side by side. They are coiled tightly and touching, but I didn't get any shorts.

yes i have tried it, not my thing. I do however often run parallel wires rather than twisted. i like it more

Just out of curiousity what does it do by wrapping it like that?
and did you build one coil first then add another or at the same time?

Running parallel is like dual coiling. I just saw a trend on ECF for micro coils saying that they give flavor, throat hit, and vapor almost like a sub ohm coil. This setup is running pretty nicely. Id say it is a nice alternative to running your batteries at their limits.
