    I understand completely. This whole thing about vaping is so new, getting a handle on the terminology is a bit much.

    All depends on the ohms you want to end up with. With a micro coil, since most of the coils are touching, it takes more wraps to get the same ohms, than if the wrap was spaced.

    For instance, a 28 Kanthal spaced 7 wrap around doubled up 3mm silica, will give you around a 1.5 ohm coil. For around the same ohms, it takes about a 10 wrap micro coil. Now this all subjective. It depends on how tight the coils are around the silica, and the final length of the wire. The micro coils have a tendency to be a little more uniform since most people use something round, like a drill, to wrap the coils around.

    Actually in a correctly wound microcoil, ALL the coils should be flush against each other without any gaps at all.

    micro coils take too long to fire, well not as quick as a 3 wrap

    What are you wrapping your micro coils around? I'm using a blunt needle, but I think people might be using something larger in diameter.

    Flintstone fingers help It's actually not bad at all, @ 1/8" hehehe I have a trident setup with 2 x 0.3ohm 22ga micro coils heheh paired with a sony 30a, it will bring anyone to their knees.... on any mod

    heheh the "wrapping" of 22ga is not that bad at all, using it is another story hahahahahaha, and yes I use it daily
