i have both, and i like both. honestly.. to me:

provari: good weight, hits well, very sturdy, proven performer
provari cons: not much but, vw would be nice.

evic: easy menuing, nice looking,...

i also hear, if you run a thin "floss" underneath the o-ring, it'll hold the top on better.
